* Phase I & Cost Proposal Preparation Workshops, Binghamton, New York, May 20-21, 2008. Day 1 of this event will cover the basics of SBIR/STTR and an approach to preparing a Phase I proposal. Day 2 will increase your ability to prepare and defend your SBIR/STTR cost proposal, and track costs like the Government wants you to (and to prepare you for the eventual audit). 8th Navy Opportunity Forum, Crystal City, VA June 2 - 4, 2008. This year’s event, sponsored by the Navy Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Program Office, will showcase 201 opportunities. The Forum provides an effective way for acquisition officers, R&D managers, prime contractors, 1st and 2nd tier suppliers, and defense personnel to preview Navy-funded technologies developed by small business. Each presenting firm has developed a Phase III Transition plan that charts a course to the successful transition of Navy-funded technologies to the appropriate defense applications.
