The Innovation Partnership offers a number of tools and programs to assist in securing a share of Federal research grants. These tools include:
IPART News
News announcements covering important and timely information on the federal grant programs, profiles of small high-tech companies and researchers who have enjoyed success in winning awards, and sharing of tips for improving the quality of your proposal. These are viewable online under IPart news in the top banner.
Pre-Proposal Assistance Program (PPAP)
The cornerstone of this program is a no-cost evaluation of your federal SBIR or STTR proposal concept. Using our secure, on-line web application, the client provides information such as research topic, objectives, commercialization plans, and project team qualifications, and identify assistance you believe would be helpful in preparing your proposal. Within approximately one week the client will receive a written evaluation report from three professional subject-matter experts, summarizing opinions and recommendations relative to the PPAP.
MicroVoucher Program
The Innovation Partnership Funding
Committee will consider all PPAP
applications for eligibility for a matching funds
voucher of up to $3,000 to defray the costs of
working with a Preferred Provider to provide professional grant-writing assistance in preparing the final federal proposal. Our criteria include
appropriateness of the technology, qualifications
of key personnel, and benefit for the Commonwealth
of Pennsylvania.
MicroGrant Program
The Innovation Partnership Funding
Committee will consider all PAPP applications for eligibility for a matching funds
grant of up to $2,000 to assist with the costs of
preparing the final proposal. Our criteria include
appropriateness of the technology, qualifications
of key personnel, and benefit for the Commonwealth
of Pennsylvania.
Travel & Training Program
The Innovation Partnership will consider funding a Travel & Training application for any client who has received a PPAP review.
Eligibile applications for a matching funds
grant of up to $1,000 to reimburse costs directly associated with travel and training expenditures related to the pursuit of submitting a federal funding proposal must meet all of the qualifications of the Travel and Training Program Guidelines.
Outreach Seminars
A number of training workshops and seminars offering information and guidance on the SBIR program are offered throughout the Commonwealth. Watch the calendar on this site for information on events planned for your area.
