The NSF began accepting proposals in response to their FY 2008 SBIR/STTR Program Solicitation on May 13, 2007. Proposals are due June 13, 2007.
Note that the NSF SBIR/STTR program no longer requires Annual Commercialization Reports for Phase II awards for 5 years after the completion of the award. Also, NSF STTR Phase I awards will be made for a maximum of $150,000 (Previously $100,000).

No Solicitation Release for 2007.
In FY08, 2 NIST SBIR Solicitations will be opened concurrently.
One will follow the traditional SBIR model that includes subtopics specifically describing technologies that support the NIST mission and have commercial potential.
The other Solicitation will include subtopics describing research needed to extend a technology described by a specific NIST patent. The SBIR contracts will be a strong technology transfer vehicle for NIST patented technologies and will contain the necessary legal terms and conditions to assure a successful transition.
Both Solicitations are anticipated to open by early November 2007 with a proposal due date in late January 2008. Awards resulting from these Solicitations will be made as fixed-price contracts.
